Here we go again!
WE are starting out the New Year by recruiting new members for Philoptochos. WE would like each and every lady to become a member. Did you know that Philoptochos is one of the largest organizations within the United States! We
are a compassionate group of ladies who believe in helping our church, the less fortunate and those in need. We encourage both Men (as Associate Members) and Women to become involved. WE will be hosting our Annual TEA on March 8 th, 2015. The Theme this year is “YOUR CHOICE”. This is your opportunity to be creative. Plan on joining us this year and perhaps sponsor a table.
We want you to have fun doing your own table, inviting your own friends and joining the rest of us for a fun day. That’s what Philoptochos is all about! Won’t you please consider joining us for our TEA and become a member and/or renew your membership for 2015. Men are welcome to decorate a table as well and/or join us the day of. It would be fun if each Ministry would consider decorating a table. SAVE THE DATE OF MARCH 8TH!
February 8th we will celebrate “Go Red Sunday”
Ladies, definitely wear red. Men, perhaps you could wear a red tie and/or a red shirt. Let’s join the rest of the United States and wear red.
FDF is coming too, they need everyone’s support. I hope you will all participate in one way or other. We all wish them well and will be waiting for them to bring home the Trophy/s! As one of our Parishioners says; Gooooooo Longggggggg
Beachyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Wonder who says that! Can you guess? Also, “Kids and Cancer” is coming right up as well. Not sure of the date as of this writing. In the past, Long Beach Philoptochos has raised some of the largest amounts donated thanks to YOU reading this today. WE hope we can depend on your generosity again this year. Such a wonderful cause! It will be held at the “Big Canyon Country Club” again this year. A beautiful affair! An affair you don’t want to miss. (More information will follow).
If you have questions please ask me. If you know of someone in need, let us know. And; if you have a student who will be Graduating High School or College this year please let me know.
Yours in Christ,
Bobbie Soupos, President
